My friends and I visited DiMillo's On the Water on 7/4/19 for dinner and we were not impressed with the service there-particularly the hostesses. They appeared very aloof and were quite rude. Additionally, they did very little to try and accomodate our party. <br><br>We were originally told that there would be a 20 minute wait for a table. We sat at the bar for drinks, nearly an hour goes by and I come back to inquire about the time/when we may expect to be seated. The hostess then informed us that the kitchen would be closing and they would be unable to serve us at a table (i.e. we would have to eat at the bar). There were clearly many tables available. Not once did the hostess make an attempt to speak with a superior to accomodate us. The situation was figured out after we sought out the manager through the bartender but the overall situation was very unpleasant and left a bad taste in our mouth.<br><br>I understand the hostesses are young women and probably do not have a lot of work experience but they definitely need a refresher on customer service and professionalism. Other than that, our waitress and bartender were nice and we enjoyed our food.<br><br>-Evan

I don't think dirty trays with half eaten food should be placed on top of the water station or next to my table. We were there for two hours and for two hours a tray of food that was bussed from a table sat across from us. The waitress seemed to be having a sad day but wasn't sure if she was sad or hated her job. You can't order off a large portion of the menu after 4, so if you want a fish sandwich etc you'll have to take your large party to the bar area instead of dining room. Two of us had the clams and the both of us was up sick all night. The valet attendant was extremely friendly and helpful. The bread and butter was very good.

Average food served slowly... on the water

Very very slow service. Waited for an hour to be seated. Waited for another hour to get our food. Bread and salad were good. My companion ordered whole belly clams and they came back as just the tails. I ordered a lobster roll which was just so-so and did not even finish it. Our bill was over $72 and we didn't even order drinks!
