The hostesses are very snobby and rude at the front desk. They laughed at my boyfriend and giggled over something he did. They look very young and are not professional. They talk about the customers which is not right. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner. It was okay. I think it is way over priced for what they offer. The quality of the food was okay. We got steamers, lobster, and filet mignon. The filet mignon was very tender and well seasoned. The lobster was a bit over cooked. There was a hair found in the food. We waited about an hour just to get our entrees. Thankfully they did make the dish with the hair in it free. The food isn't that good. We won't be back here.

Look. I get that DiMillos is a staple, and its been here forever, but I seriously believe that other than the delight of sitting on the deck all the way in the back of the establishment, there is NO REASON to go here. Youre in the foodie capital of the US people. This is standard, overpriced, nothing special fare with a super stuffy atmosphere inside. Take your grandparents here if they live somewhere else, but other than that, go somewhere else. I can almost guarantee youll have much better food anywhere else in the city.

Our server was very slow and inefficient. Getting a ginger beer before the meal was not happening. We had the lunch Native Haddock, which in the past was always fantastic. This time the broccoli was mushy and cold. The haddock was swimming in so much butter I couldn't finish it. Won't be going back.

Great location on the water, very high novelty factor. Service and atmosphere was good. However, this is a tourist trap not a fine restaurant! Read all the 1-2 star reviews before you waste your money. I ordered the Seafood Arrabiatta, which was essentially egg noodles topped with 1/4 cup of bland sauce, with chunks of bland seafood on top. I had to order more bland sauce because the pound of pasta was barely covered by the portion it came with. No real flavor to the dish. I would have sent it back, but it was late and the restaurant was busy. My wife and daughter ordered lobsters, which were a bit over cooked and tiny for $30 each. I got the sense that this place relies on the novelty factor to bring in hordes of tourists to churn out as much over-priced food as possible--with little concern about taste. I would definitely not go back and question all the good reviews. There must be much better places in Portland if you are looking for good food instead of novelty.
