One star for service, and one star for location. As soon as we walked into the parking lot we thought that the place was gymycky, we knew we should have turned around and go somewhere else. But the reviews were ere good and it was recommended, so we went in. We sat in the dinning room and the service was fine, but the food was just awful. All seafood tasted like it was frozen, all vegetables tasted like they had been cooked for days, pasta was overcooked. Tourist trap through and through. We were so mad even while eating our dinner that we could not enjoy the view.

Here you are clearly paying for the location. The crab cakes were a good size but, more filler than crab. The remoulade and the greens were very good. The pecan encrusted haddock was tasty and cooked well. However, the fries and vegetables were cold and flavorless. Alex, our waiter was very good. Dinner was not a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We dinned in the lounge. Throughout most of our meal people were hanging around the tables pacing back and forth and eyeing diners because they wanted their tables. Two of the three diners at one table stood and were putting on their coats the third was still seated and two women came and sat down because they wanted the table. Two people were seated next to us two women sat at the two empty seats at their table until the couple left then 3 other people joined them at the 4 person table and crowded into us. If there are no seats in the lounge, the restaurant should not allow people in to hang around. There are many great restaurants in Portland, this is not one of them.

Tourist trap!!!!! Just those two words. High end prices for greasy lobster!!!! We had the fried lobster and the regular lobster in butter with bread crumbs ..!!!! It was just not good ! Our waiter forgot our crab cake order , would have loved to try those . However , what we did try it was pretty bad. Do not recommend

Normally we enjoy going to Dimillos for dinner. Unfortunately our last experience wasn't stellar. My husband, daughter and myself sat in the lounge area and our server was less than attentive, granted that the restaurant was not busy at allu. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks and had to ask to see a children's menu. We ordered our daughters meal and then a cup of lobster stew and a ceasar salad as starters. We were planning on having dinner as well. I ended up with a bowl instead of a cup. Their lobster stew is usually my favorite in all of Portland but unfortunately this time it turned me off. The lobster was mushy and seemed to be undercooked. I tried to inform our server that I had ordered a cup but could not get his attention away from wiping down empty dirty tables. I waited about 10 minutes to eat it as I wanted a cup so I would have room for dinner, but our server never came back. Thankfully my daughter ordered two kids meals because my husband and myself ended up eating her food since our server did not come back to get a dinner order. Finally fed up over trying to get his attention and being overlooked, we called over the other server in the room and asked to have our check. We dont go out to eat very often and was really looking forward to dinner that night but instead we ended up having appetizers and left over kids meals.

First trip to Portland and first meal at DiMillo's. Was craving prime rib and ordered the $30 16oz cut. The blandest prime rib I've ever tasted. Actually had to grab the table salt just to give it something. Not a great first impression.
