We boarded DiMillo's hungry and looking for a quick stop while on a road trip. Unfortunately service here was painfully slow. After being seated our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes and we didn't get our drinks or put in our orders until a half hour after being seated. The sea food sampler was just okay and was swamped in grease. I liked how they showed the calories on the menu. It was kind of cool that we were on a boat but the service was just frustrating.

Not a bad place, but isn't worth the price and the chef needs some cooking lessons. I ate here this evening, well didn't really eat cause i had to send my food back. The shrimps still had the shell on it after being broiled. Plenty of places to eat Portland but I wouldn't eat here.

Though having lived in Maine for six years, I have managed to avoid this place mainly due to its "touristy" reputation. Sadly I would have to concur. My mother (former cook) and I had salmon oscar and haddock stuffed with crab. Fish pieces are seared and baked well, sealing the moisture and natural flavor inside; however, their fatal flaw was the sauce. Barnaise sauce for the salmon was bland (egg yolk and butter actually CAN taste good), the newburg for haddock was slightly better (of course one would hope that lobster butter and crab meat should be the right combination), but somehow they still managed to create one-dimentional flavor. The worst was the gravy for mash, served probably straight out of a can. Unfortunately you can do a whole lot better in Portland. Oh, the view was nice....but hardly worth the price.

The novelty of eating on a large boat gently swaying in the North-Eastern breeze quickly disappeared when the food arrived. The food was just ok. Sea food that you could have anywhere, really. The hype was bigger than the food itself.<br>The ambiance is neat. You can see the water from most vantage points while you eat, and there are sea-faring pictures adorning the corridors. Was not sold on this place.
