I got SMILE eye surgery and it was an excellent experience from beginning to end!I had been wearing CRT lenses for 4.5 years so I knew going into my first consult that I'd have to stop wearing them to reverse the process. Dr. Goel met with me during my first consult and answered all the questions I had. He told me I had thick corneas and was a candidate for any procedure I'd like to choose. I chose SMILE as from my research it's the safest available right now. I went to Towson for my second consult a month later and was told that the CRT process was reversed and I could schedule my appointment. I went to Columbia for the procedure a few days later and they did everything they could to ease any anxiety. The procedure itself took less than 10 minutes and wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. Once again Dr Goel was calm, collected, and walked me through the process from beginning to end. Perhaps the nicest thing was how personable everybody is at Goel Vision. Dr Goel himself called me that first night a few hours later to see how my eyes felt following the surgery.I went in a few days later for my follow up and everything looked great. I've had no pain or irritation and the worst that I felt was some eye pressure. I was seeing 20/20 (and at times 20/15) already just 3 days after surgery. I highly recommend going with Dr Goel. Total cost was $4,500.UPDATE 1/1/2024: It has now been 2 years since the operation and Im happy to report that everything with my eyes is just as perfect as when I got the surgery! I dont have dry eyes and only use eye drops when I wake up and after I take a shower (leftover contact solution actually). When I went for my routine eye exam my eye doctor was impressed by my area of coverage compared to his usual LASIK patients.

I wish I could give everyone more stars. The office staff is fantastic, communicative, and friendly. Dr. Goel is so knowledgeable and amazing to working with. Everything about this experience was nothing short of amazing.

Honestly one of the best experiences I have had! Definitely the best decision I have ever made. Went in for consultation for LASIK! Doctor recommended the less evasive SMILE surgery. Scheduled the procedure for the next day and Doctor Goel took care of everything within 20 mins. Painless and side affect free. 2 weeks in and my vision is perfect and I couldnt be happier
