My coworker referred me to take my wife to see Dr. Goel. He had the SMILE procedure performed on his eyes and he is so satisfied!! He mentioned how Dr. Goel called him at night just to check up on him. Thats awesome I think!!That said, I took my wife to see Dr. Goel to see if she is perhaps a candidate for the same procedure. In the last three years my wife was plagued with cataracts and steroid-induced glaucoma. She was too young for glaucoma but glaucoma took her sight anyway. Unfortunately, my wifes eyes went through too much so she was not a good candidate for SMILE .Dr. Goel took 25 min out of his time to explain why she couldnt receive the procedure, and made sure my wife and I both understood why by answering all our questions. It really showed in his face that he cared, and how he really felt bad that he couldnt help her. At the end I didnt mind the 130-mile round trip. I felt the trip was still worthwhile even though the outcome was not favorable. Dr. Goel is an honest man and my wife and I really appreciated that!!!
