I am only 2 days out from having SMILE surgery but wow what a game changer. To say I'm happy with the experience is a massive understatement. This entire process has been a breeze with the help of the people at Goel vision. To top it off Dr Goel is awesome. The surgery went quick and painless and the results have been fantastic. If anyone is looking for a doctor to perform laser eye surgery look no further. You guys are the best.

Dr. Goel performed LASIK with Contoura on both my eyes in October 2022. Just one week after the procedure, I am incredibly happy with the results and would recommend Dr. Goel to anyone who is considering a laser eye surgery. His approach is very friendly, but also extremely informative and I am someone who asks lots of detailed questions; Dr. Goel had great answers for everything I asked about. Before LASIK: I was extremely nearsighted: -6R/-3.5L, with a mild astigmatism in each eye. I wore contacts for the past 15 or so years, and didn't have much trouble with respect to dry eyes and had a really good correction.Dr. Goel recommended LASIK with Contour or SMILE for me. I opted for LASIK with Contoura since it had an increased chance for an overall better correction (possibly better than 20/20), though SMILE can have an easier recovery. I am extremely happy with my decision: I can now see better than ever before in my life! Dr. Goel confirmed I had 20/15 vision the day after the procedure - though I could tell how good my vision was without a formal examination. I can see better after LASIK than I was ever able to achieve using contacts or glasses, even working with many optometrists. I thought I had a good correction with contacts, but with LASIK it's even better!Dr. Goel did a great job of walking me through the recovery period in advance of the procedure. The recovery period has been just like what he described. The only visual artifact I'm noticing (and this was well described by Dr. Goel in advance) is a little bit of "glare" or "starbursting" effects from bright lights in low-light conditions (e.g. when driving at night) but even with this effect, I can see better than before even when corrected with glasses or contacts. This glare effect is also getting less pronounced every day.If you were thinking about laser eye surgery, I strongly recommend Dr. Goel and his team. He will find the right procedure for you and you will know exactly what to expect, and his team will probably even beat those expectations!
