I have been a patient of Dr. Nielsens for years. Best eye care I have ever had! Last week my mother suffered a catastrophic eye injury resulting in vision loss in her left eye. Her right eye needed cataract surgery but she was pushing it off. Obviously, as a result of the loss of sight in the left eye this surgery became crucial. After being seen in the ER at Mass Eye and Ear we tried to get an emergency appointment with their Ophthalmology Dept to evaluate the eye with cataracts. They soonest they could get her in was 10/24!! Seriously!I called Dr. Nielsens office and they got her in the next day, performed the necessary testing and she will have surgery within 2 wks. A complete blessing as she is unable to see at all at this time. The care and empathy Nielsen provides is extraordinary !
