Jay is always so helpful, and encouraging. I had been incredibly nearsighted for as long as I can remember. Dr. Jay suggested that I go with the more expensive multifocal lenses when I chose to have cataract surgery, and he was right! After years of glasses, contacts, and my trying to figure out how to negotiate the issues regarding my changing vision as I grew older, I didnt want to wait until I was in my 70s for relief from @60 years of coping with my lack of vision. After having my surgeries, its been life changing! No glasses, no contacts, no reading glasses after choosing the more expensive multifocal lenses. It was definitely the best choice for me, and Jay was right! If youre going to have the cataract surgery, have terrible vision, can afford it, and know it will be a life changer .. it is totally worth it! Im now 67, and had the lenses installed when I was 62 or 63, with just the very slight cataract issue. Multifocal lenses are $5000 per eye extra. No regrets at all!

Dr. Heilmann is one of the finest health practitioners I have worked with. I have never received better care for my eyes, and he is kind, patient, and tends to patient concerns and individualizes care based on those needs! He helped my vision emergency with grace and thus I return to his practice for excellent eye care.
