    Dr. Heilmann goes above and beyond as a healthcare provider because 1) he is an active and patient listener, 2) he is thoughtful and comprehensive in his exam, and 3) he communicates the "what," "so what," and "now what" in a way I can understand. I am a 24 year old athlete, who came in with a lot of pain in both eyes. I was diagnosed with an inflammatory disease that required me wearing glasses for four weeks. As an athlete playing in multiple sports leagues a week, it is really important to me to be able to wear my contacts. Dr. Heilmann showed incredibly empathy with my situation, and provided me with daily contact samples so that I could pop them in for my games, and remove them right after to allow my eyes to continue healing. He made me feel validated in my feelings and helped me create a treatment plan that didn't sacrifice the things that made me happy. I am very grateful to have him as my doctor, and would highly recommend him to anyone in need!
