William was very considerate. On my first visit, my eyes were dilated, and he closed the blinds. I didn't even think about the brightness hurting me, but he was prepared. Everyone shook my hand and introduced themselves. I also remember awesome music playing when I visited the North office. The South office was very quick. They have their appointment-timing down. :) The consultation was quick and painless, as was the procedure, which was mostly just uncomfortable for five minutes. Just five minutes? Yes! And then after a 3 hour nap, I could see. I'm still amazed. Highly recommend.

It's been 17 days after lasik from here and I highly recommend it.
My eyes would get a little dry, but you're suppose to put in the lubricating drops if that happens. Every person's eyes are different, I had a great experience though.

No regrets and I had a week check up after lasik, I tested 20/15 out of BOTH eyes! woohoo!!!

I would highly recommend Mann Eye Institute at Braker Lane for anyone seeking care for any type of eye problems or to get your annual eye appointment. In 2010 I had laser eye surgery and for YEARS afterwards I suffered from severe dry eyes. Despite seeing multiple ophthalmologists no one really listened to me long enough to really do more than suggest drops or an eye mask. When I went to see Dr. Beavers I was using multiple eye drops, multiple times an hour, fish oil twice a day (helps dry eyes), night time eye lubricant, and an eye mask at night. Despite having LASIK eye surgery I was not seeing anywhere close to 20/20 because of the blurry vision from dry eyes and my eyes were constantly red from irritation.

Earlier this year (March 2013) I went to see Dr. Beavers at Mann eye. He listened to me as I explained my long story and instead of just saying well there is nothing else I can do for you.. he thought for a minute and suggested punctal plugs to help alleviate my dry eyes. One other ophthalmologist had suggested these but did not describe them to me and I thought it would involve another surgical procedure and be very costly. Dr. Beavers explained the procedure is done in the office and is not a surgical procedure and I felt confident he really thought these would help me. He was very knowledgeable and suggested I try the temporary punctal plugs before committing to the permanent ones.

Immediately after getting the temporary plugs I felt so much relief! My vision had improved and I did not have to use any additional drops all day. Two weeks later I got the permanent punctal plugs (insurance covered almost all of the cost) and now 6 months later I do not need to use any eye drops, fish oil, or night time lubricant.
I want to thank Dr. Beavers and his staff so much for the wonderful care they provided. Every time I walked into the office everyone was so friendly and would remember me and ask about my family. Such a simple thing as listening to me made such a difference in my life that I just can't Dr. Beavers enough. I will be returning and have referred everyone I know to him (my husband has already been to see Dr. Beavers as well.) . If you are looking for a caring, compassionate, and fantastic ophthalmologist I would suggest you ask for Dr. Beavers at MANN eye institute.

Sincerely,
Whitney

My brother and I had our bladeless surgery at the south location which was great. Doc Mann even followed up the procedure with a courtesy call himself!

Love my new eyes BTW, totally worth it.

Visited the north location for a followup. Very nice facility with the same great staff as the south location.

Highly recommend both facilities anyone with glasses or contact should seriously consider this solution.
