I know people say this is a tourist trap, but I really wouldn't want to be trapped anywhere else. I've gone to Demillo's three times and I've never been disappointed. My mother and I went there on a Friday night and there was a 30 minute wait around 6:00. They told us we could eat in the lounge and we found a cute little table for two right by the window overlooking all of the other boats that surround DeMillo's and right next to the fireplace, it was so cozy! They had a free appetizer bar with tons of cheese, vegetables, fried green beans etc. and our waitress was so nice. We ordered drinks, I highly recommend the Seaweed, it was delicious! My mother and I both ordered the lobsterbake which came with soup, salad, lobster, steamers, potato, vegetable, and warm blueberry cobbler for dessert. It was AMAZING! It was $42.00 but for all that food was a great deal. I highly recommend DeMillo's!!

My bartender was extremely knowledgeable when I asked for scotch choices so thank you, Adam for that. The food was fantastic. Pricey maybe, but the feel was worth every penny. I have the clam chowder which was thick and delicious. Several co-workers got the lobster stew and wouldn't shut up about how amazing it was. My steak with my surf and turf was on point and the lobster was juicy buttery and delicious. To add, I really recommend the blueberry cobbler. My wait staff was very friendly and personal and stayed over an hour after closing for our group. Thank you, Will and Nicole for helping us.

After reading numerous reviews that were not stellar, we went with a friends suggestion of DiMillo's. We are so glad we did. The restaurant is huge but well laid out. We were greeted promptly and seated looking at the sea and boats bobbing around us. Our waitress was efficient, friendly and well versed in the menu. She suggested the "Maine Plate" a salad with lobster meat which was perfect - lobster without the carbs and fat. The food arrived very quickly. My husbands lobster roll was loaded with chunky, tender lobster meat. Great piping hot home made French fries were generous enough to share. This is a great place for lunch - we will give it a try for dinner and let you know how it is.

I had been looking forward to eating here ever since doing research before my little weekend getaway to Portland. This restaurant kept popping up...and now I know why! I love how it's pretty much on a boat, minus the seasickness. Adds to the whole experience. We sat in the dining area and had a nice view of the other boats docked. Started off with a glass of moscato each and their lobster stew. Amazing. Milky and smooth with clumps of lobster on the bottom. We were both fans.

I had the calamari burger, which there wasn't a bad thing to say about as I chomped away at it. I liked the way they fried the calamari. Something in the burger was a little spicy but nothing unbearable. My boyfriend had a salmon dish baked in some kind of pastry, and sauteed in peas and some kind of pink sauce. Wow. Can't rave enough about his dish!

If you're not a local, like myself, check out their gift shop on the way in or out. Lots of cute Portland/Maine/DIMillo's items to take home!

Also big two thumbs up to the free parking provided.

We shared a 2-1/2 lb steamed lobster for lunch and a blueberry cobbler. Few restaurants serve large lobster these days. Carrying a 2-1/2 lb lobster on the menu is a rare find.

FYI: The waitress advised us to call in 1-2 days early. They can find 3-4 lb lobsters.
