I am very pleased with my visit today with Dr. Robert Weinstock. The procedure of removing a film from my implanted lens went well. The staff from the front desk, as well as the professional staff, was exceptional in their courtesy and professionalism.I have been a patient of the Eye Institute for a number of years ever since I needed cornea surgery prior to ever needing the cataract surgery. This is the first time I have ever had any complaint, and unfortunately I really don't know to whom this applies. When I first called for this appointment about two-three months ago, I found the person abrupt and actually unprofessional. For instance, she referred to one of the physicians only by his last name. I was a bit confused by what she was telling me, and she did not slow down to explain clearly how the system worked. She actually made me feel stupid.I did not make an appointment at that point. Several weeks later, I tried again. This time the person I spoke with understood that I was a little confused because I thought I needed a separate visit for evaluation and a second visit for the procedure. She had someone call me who answered all my questions. It was only that one incident with the first scheduler that has kept you from five stars.Thank you.

I give a 4 star rating - not for the medical help or the venue, but for the lack of thought put in to furnishings when moving the Optometry group to the second floor. The choice of chairs for patients and their caregivers did not show much forethought in who would be using those chairs. I would think the ages and infirmities of most of the patients would be north of mid-life, so the need for arm chairs is imperative to assist those clients in and out of the chairs. The chairs are lovely to look at, but at least 50% of them, or more, should have arms, and the seats of those chairs should be a little higher than a 90 degree bend of knee. This from one who has had one hip replacement and is due another hip and knee replacement in the future.
