    The staff is normally very punctual, but the wait for the dr. to see/do procedure is very long.

    Dr. Hairston and the Eye Specialist office in Largo, FL are amazing! The staff are very professional and proficient they run like a well oiled machine. Dr. Hairston is a very pleasant and confident Dr. and he made me feel very comfortable, explaining everything in a way that I understood and answered all of my questions. He assured me that he was determined to correct my eye sight as I am young and He said it would take some time, and He my was going to address my issues aggressively. Dr. Hairston is so experienced and skilled at his craft, when he had to give me an injection of medicine in my eye to stop the bleeding behind my eye to save my eye sight, He was able to distract me, as he had me look up at his left hand, which he held high above the left side of my head and at the same time, gave me an injection in my right eye all in the matter of, it seemed like seconds and the procedure was done!I believe that God, sent me in for a eye exam for new glasses, which lead me to Dr. Hairston and his practice to address and preserve my eyesight. "But God" and Thank you Dr. Hairston. I will see you soon for my follow up visit and next steps.

    ThI had to have a follow up procedure done on an implant. The procedure itself was quick and easy and the doctors did a great job. However, during pre op interviews I asked how long the procedure would take so that I could make travel arrangements. I was repeatedly told 30 minutes total. I waited for more than an hour. Total time was 1 1/2 hours and the procedure itself was about 5 minutes.... a lot of sitting in waiting rooms. Another thing, no one explained to me anything about the procedure itself. I still recommend The Eye Institute but they need to work out some customer service bugs with waiting time, explantations, etc
