    Dr Desai diagnosed me with dry eye. The appointment felt rushed and I was skeptical about this diagnosis so I sought out a second opinion to find out that I have keratoconus.

    Due to several factors, yesterday (5/5) was the first time I had to take my Mom to her eye appt with Dr. Cope. She's not too elderly but suffers with diabetes and knee issues (replacement 5/6 scheduled).I walked in and was greeted by several people that were very helpful in getting Mom a wheelchair and chit chatted for a few minutes while we waited online. I took her around and checked in - normal process. We sat down for only about 10 mins and was greeted by Nurse Heidi. She had me take my Mom into a room for a preliminary eye exam/scan (not sure what its called.) Its good to know that my Mom has mobility issues from her knees, but suffers from sever sciatica also as a result of knee compensation. Regardless, she instructed my Mom to "place chin here and forehead here". She proceeds to do her thing. Please also note, when she is "doing her thing", it involves adjusting the machine which as a patient looking into the machine, you must move with it. While she is doing this, my Mom is having a hard time keeping up and her forehead in several instances is not against the forehead part. The nurse adjust by pulling back, needing the patient to lean forward more. FYI: My Mom is in a wheelchair that cannot fully pull up and under the table where the machine is located, which causes for my Mom to have to lean forward more so. During this entire process, Heidi continues to say "place chin here and forehead here". BUT, in between, expressively displaying her frustration by huffing and puffing. I stood there and helped my Mom hold her head. I bit my tongue, which most people that know me, would be surprised. But my Mom likes Dr. Cope and this was a serious appt prior to surgery on her knee the next day. So, i helped, stayed quiet. I don't regret staying quiet but it ate me up inside. I've worked, not on the front line, in healthcare patient care, administration, etc. for 18+ years. Managed hundreds of people to provide customer service and most importantly empathy. One thing I express to those who work with me and that I lead, is that you must keep your composure and show empathy. But not only show, but truly understand. To that patient, their issue, their concern, their fears, their apprehension of outcomes, their abilities are all relevant to them, not the total patient population. Understand that they may not be worse off than another patient, but to them, they may feel that way. So, maybe Heidi is a great nurse and maybe she was having a bad morning (930am) and maybe she doesn't have patience, but you never display that when you are in a position to show empathy. Makes me sad to know there are elderly patients at appts with no one and this is how they are made to feel. Ironically, Dr. Cope was exactly the type of professional and empathetic person i was hoping to meet. Thank you Dr. Cope for helping my Mom.

    I always had a close to perfect vision. At this clinic, they put eye drops BEFORE my eye exam. My vision was immediately very blurry and I was dizzy. I couldn't even see my fingers! After the eye exam the doctor gave me a prescription for glasses?!! I see fine! No headaches, no squinting. I am still young and certainly do NOT need glasses!Then they sent me home with this crazy blurry vision!! Couldn't see nothing! I was very light headed and was afraid to pass out any moment. It takes me 40 minutes to get home! I could not drive like that!! Dangerous! Luckily, my boyfriend lives 5min from the clinic so I went to his place and had to lay down for 2 hours so that I could see again like normal!I think theses eye doctors just want to give everyone prescriptions, even if they don't need. Next time I will go somewhere else.

    Dr. Esther Park gave me the fastest optical test Ive ever had. It was a rushed experience. Never asked me what I do for a living or how I use my eyes. At the end when she handed me my prescription, it was for progressives only. When I asked her for a reading prescription and a computer prescription, she snapped at me that I should have told her that at the beginning. Hilarious! I think shes probably good but is too rushed and doesnt take enough time to ask questions. The experience was unnerving. The facility is reputable and only have great doctors. Maybe this posting will help her out and slow her roll.

    This doctor is so rude and arrogant. Very entitled and just not a nice person overall. Steer clear folks.
