LOVED my experience with Heaton Eye Associates! The entire staff is top notch. I had Lasik done, and had 4 appointments from first visit to day after check and was impressed with every bit of the experience except timing. Which I have found is pretty much the case at all medical facilities in East Texas. However it is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. My 2 hr appointment the day before the surgery they were running 30-45 minutes behind. They did tell me, but with my surgery scheduled there wasnt time for a reschedule and it left me missing other appointments elsewhere. The day of my surgery everyone was SO SWEET and so excited for me. The entire experience was exactly what you would hope, except once again the timing. Dr Nickles was AMAZING and came and explained the entire process start to finish so I was prepared for each step, Jennifer his nurse was great and made me extremely comfortable. My appointment was for 2:15 check and 2:30 surgery and told I to be ready to leave anytime between 3-4. I had my check at 2:30 and wasnt taken back to the surgery waiting area until after 3. My ride came and was waiting until 4:15 but my surgery didnt start until 4:20 and by that time she needed to run our kids across town for 4:30 swim team. The surgery was 10 min and by 4:30 I was waiting but my ride couldnt get back to me until 4:45. On the 20 min ride home the numbing started to wear off and I was pretty uncomfortable and it took longer to fall asleep than I think it would have had I been able to go home and sleep immediately as they suggest. I recommend that you prepare to be there longer than you anticipate every time. But know you will have an amazing experience, especially if you know beforehand that to anticipate delays. My eyes were great the day after and Im AMAZED and wish I had done the surgery 10 years ago. Its life changing and I would recommend Heaton Eye to EVERYONE I know.

The staff and doctors are very friendly and professional. My eye exam was extensive due to the issue I have with one of my eyes. I feel Dr. Dosey gave me a thorough exam and did not seem to hurry out of the exam. I would recommend Heaton for your eyes.

Dr's & Staff are great!The billing is unclear. Never completely understood what I was supposed to pay. Turned out to be more than what I was told!
