The front desk staff is great!!!! My current provider, Dr. Kendall Wannamaker and his assistant, Caitland, are both very competent and caring. However, the wait time is really lengthy if you arrive at the wrong time of the day, but I'm not sure there's a great deal one can do about that----i.e., if you've gotta have care, you'll just have to hold your nose and wait your turn.Now that I am no longer under the care of Arghaven Almony at this location, I (overall) feel much better about this provider. She was a hand-full to deal with------and I would not recommend her as a provider unless you have no other choice.That said, again, I am extremely pleased with Dr. Wannamaker and his support staff.

Medically & Technically Carolina Eye is great; however, they still need to hone their process or procedure for moving patients through the clinic. For me it took a little over 5 1/2 hours from start to finish, and I had a rather simple and routine laser touch up procedure. And it was the same ten years ago.

Arrived by 6:30 as surgery was scheduled for 6:45. Was not called for surgery until 8:30. I would have appreciated an update on the delay as I had decided to walk out and cancel procedure if not given some explanation or an update by 8:45. Just an update would have been appreciated or an acknowledgement of appreciation for waiting for almost two hours. Nurses and doctors were excellent and could not have been more accommodating or professional. Not very "patient friendly" making folks sit for two hours with no updates nor explanation

Waiting room less than ten minutes for technician who was friendly courteous professional back to waiting room for again about ten minutes before then sitting in examination room waiting for doctor about fifteen minutesChecking out quick convenient without having to wait and see another technician to receive purchasing options for glasses!Doctor acknowledged that VA would provide free pair, given my exam results, updated prescription and out the door!

The cataract surgery went well and 2 days into recover the signt in the eye seems to be clearer. Won't see the full effect until the other eye is done and the eyelids lifted. That's the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Jury is still out.
