Ive had a detached retina in both eyes, not simultaneously. Drs Almony and Wanamaker did the surgeries. They are both caring professionals and very skilled. I feel very lucky to have them available in our community.But the biggest takeaway from this last surgery is the quality and compassion of the staff. The nurses and clerical staff were exceptional. Yes it takes time but they get it right and they care.Thanks to all of those who serve us at Carolina Eye

The staff were all quite professional. Dr. Sharpe clearly has excellent skills at removing cataracts and inserting IOCs. The only annoyance was the time it took from entry into the clinic to exit. On the first surgery day I arrived at 9:30 AM and exited at 1:30 PM. On the second surgery day I entered at 8:30 AM and departed at 1:00 PM. Their process is well organized but lacks in efficiency. I contrast that with a friend I took to Highsmith in Fayetteville about 4 years ago where we arrived at 6:30 AM and departed at 8:30 AM. Could be related to the high volume of surgeries they perform. Hard to say but it was an annoyance.
