I've been seeing Dr. Heiden for several years and have never experienced anything but excellent service from a fine doctor and a true professional.

First of all parking at CPMC is expensive. The medical practice is large & the patient load heavy but in my many visits the front office people have been efficient. My longest wait has been one hour for an emergency visit. The 5 stars are for Drs. Anne Fung, Wayne Fung & Danny Lin who have given me very good service over 10+ years. Their assistants have all been professional & courteous. I would avoid going here for an eye refraction & glasses. Costco is better.

While this is a large ophthalmology office, the infrastructure is run relatively well, though I agree with other reviewers that the front office staff leave a lot to be desired in terms of customer service and relations. One does feel like a widget on an assembly line. The "mill" does, however, work to some extent to ferry patients in and out within an efficient system. Having said that, however, having Karen Oxford as an eye doctor is worth the "mill" experience. She is friendly, humble, respectful and knowledgeable. She does not make the patient feel that she is in a rush to the next patient. After being unhappy with several eye doctors in my life, I am very happy to have found Dr. Oxford.
