I visited this location last month to get a free Lasik exam. I had always wanted Lasik, but wasn't sure I was a candidate. This location was convenient and the facility itself is very nice. Dr. Baumohl and his staff did an excellent job in explaining the procedure to me. My exam was very thorough and I did not feel rushed at all. My options were explained to me and I felt I had enough details to make an informed decision.

The actual surgery takes place at a different facility, but I was happy to hear that all follow ups would be at this location. I decided to have the surgery and it went very well. Returned to see Dr. Baumohl for my one week follow up and again received excellent care. Everyone I encountered at both my visits were friendly and professional. If you have ever considered Lasik or just need new glasses/contacts, I highly recommend paying a Dr. Baumohl a visit.

It seems as though the only people with issues are previous clients of Dr. Beavers. He was fantastic however, the poor reviews on here, in my opinion, have to have been written by folks having really bad days.I have been a client since July of 2013 and have nothing but overly gratuitous things to say about this staff! Alex and Diat are the ladies at the service desk and both are real sweethearts. I first saw Dr. Sabrina Charrier as she was filling in for Dr. Martin J. Baumohl. She was great! Professional, courtious and listened. This year I saw Dr Baumohl. He too was Professional, courteous, funny and listened! Both preliminary exams were performed by Carmen, she was wonderful (she volunteers at SIRE helping handicapped children ride horses). Both exams were thorough and done in a caring manner. I am in a wheelchair and they made it EXTREMELY easy to access their services. After the exam Amber helped me pick out a good looking set of frames that met my needs and she's a hoot! Alex finished up with the financial side of things. She was very sweet and personable. All and all I know every body has bad days but, I can't see this ENTIRE staff having a bad day all at once! There are way too many positive attitudes and waves going on here. As it ended up, my Insurance did not cover my glasses. I didn't really NEED new ones but, I bought new ones anyway!

Needing a new eye doctor I deferred to my co-workers, many of which recommended Mann Eye. They see Dr. B at the Spring location and had nothing but positive things to say. I also checked YELP and saw a handful of mixed reviews, but decided to trust people I knew and gave it a try. My experience was nothing short of excellent, so I felt compelled to come back to YELP and add my 2 cents. The entire staff was very helpful and nice. They verified my insurance over the phone, and told me what would be covered along with any co-pays BEFORE I was seen. What Dr.'s office does THAT??!! Also, not sure what another reviewer was referring to regarding Dr. Baumohl "never checking her eyes"....I've honestly never had a more thorough eye exam in my life (been going to the eye dr for over 40 years). He went slowly through the vision test until I was seeing crystal clear, tried multiple contact lenses on me until I was satisfied, and did a thorough dilated exam (wasn't crazy about that part, but I'm glad it was done). He was also very personable and funny, which is unfortunately too rare in the medical field these days. Hopefully I will get my Lasik done there next year and will be able to write another great review (yikes)!!

I just returned from the Mann Eye center on 2920 and have to tell everyone how extremely delighted I am! Yep, I'm one of Dr. Beaver's fans, but now I know that Dr. Baumohl is just as good - except he doesn't sing. Ah well - but today I popped in on the spur of the moment to see about getting a new set of glasses - VERY quickly! Fortunately, Cindy was the one who came to wait on me - she is that fantastic gal who two years ago listened to me gripe about not being able to get the "executive" bifocal any longer. I am on the computer quite a bit and need the bifocal to be longer so I don't have to move my head back and forth so much. Cindy explained what could be done, fitted me with a wider set of "computer" frames, ordered a "35" width bifocal and placed it higher so I didn't have to raise my chin so far and generally made my working life much easier. I have found that this "computer" set works well for my reading too, but they have a less expensive plastic frame which feels rather heavy. Inasmuch as I will be going to a conference next week and will need the "computer" glasses I decided at the spur of the moment to pop in and see if a new set with a lightweight frame could be made up and ready by next Wed. Well, Cindy found a perfect frame, measured everything, found the new prescription that I hadn't used yet and even called the optical place to make sure - then assured me that YES the glasses would be ready by next Wed. Now - even better - by the time I got home, Cindy had called with a message from Dr. Baumohl. What service!! A BIG thumbs up for Mann Eye Institute!
