After making the decision to get Lasik, I had received a few consultations at larger and more well know practices in Austin, but did not like the feeling that I was just another patient in their money making machine. I was referred to Lake Austin Eye and Dr. Chan from a friend and could not be more pleased. I appreciated that you actually get to see the surgeon who performed Lasik on you for follow up visits and get 1 year of follow up vs others where it is 6 months or less. If you don't mind paying more for lasik than other competitors in town, you will be rewarded with higher quality and more personalized care.

The reception, techs and Dr. Chan are amazing! They are so kind and helpful. They are thorough and knowledgeable. Very happy with them and the care they show my teenage daughter!

Edit: I heard from the office a few hours after I posted my review. It seems there was no record of my calls or messages on their end. They were extremely apologetic and acknowledged that I should have heard back from the team already. They immediately made a plan to rectify the issue. I am adjusting my review because this is the level of service I initially received.Original Review:I had my first appointment with Dr. Cottle on June 13, 2022 to discuss my Keratoconus diagnosis. The appointment went well and the office was going to call my insurance to better understand my coverage for the cross-linking procedure. I was told I should hear back in about 3 weeks. Almost 3 months later, I have yet to receive a phone call from the office. I called back multiple times because my insurance changed. I left messages and one time spoke with someone. Still, no phone call back to confirm my coverage or follow up. I'm disappointment and will need to find a new doctor to have a consultation with.
