Good staff but their procedures are too expensive for my budget and they dont offer payment plans for cataract surgery. Also will not honor my Aflac insurance. Wanted 12 thousand up.front for toric lens cataract surgery. Will be seeking elsewhere for surgery at a cheaper cost.

Dr. Chan has been my Doctor since last year guiding me through two double surgeries both cataract removal and cornea transplants - Dec 16 and June 1As I have navigated my surgeries, she has been compassionate, thorough, and on top of things as my surgeries continued- continue to heal. She handles, any hiccups , and answers all questions- If shes not sure about why something is happening, she will find out!I trust her implicitly !

There was a lot of redundancy in the process. You spend a lot of time answering a lot of questions then they ask you the same questions verbally. My husband had cataract surgery on one eye one week and the other eye the following week. He was required to come in for a second preop appointment 2 days after the first surgery. This was a burden since we live over an hour from the office. Dr. said it was required by insurance. Dr. was thorough but the information was confusing as she spoke so fast. Learned more about the procedure choices by reading their web sight. I would recommend Lake Austin Eye to my friends/family.
