I have always trusted and felt as if I a was receiving great care with Heaton Eye Associates in Athens and Tyler. They took very good care of my dad that had dementia. Dr. Guenther is excellent! However, the new binding in Tyler is not functioning as efficiently as it was. I had to wait an hour and half to be called back. It seems that they had name confusion and I got skipped. I hope they make adjustments to make appointment wait times better in Tyler.

The Dr and the lady that ran the test were great. When I went to check out they were charging me as medical. I asked why. They said because it shows you were having headaches. I told them that the visit was for a regular eye exam, the only time headaches were mentioned is when the girl asked if Ive had headaches. I said yes but I think its due to my medication not my eyes. That was very fishy that they were trying to charge me for medical. The other thing is, nothing was set up to help me get new glasses. They send you to check out and then the receptionist was like, well you can see if one of the glasses ladies is available to help you. I walked out. Ill just get my glasses somewhere else.

No 5 star rating; I was there for 10:10 appm and left Dr Jones after noon due to excessive wait time to see the intake nurse , then to see Dr Jones.I will recommend Heaton Eye Associates!
