I reccomend Ellis Eye because they really help you with your vision. My vision was really bad before the surgery but now im seeing better than what we expected, I like the fact that they are bilingual too. From the receptionist to the counselor to the doctor, i reccomend all. Thank you Ellis Eye.

I got RK surgery from Dr. Ellis 20 years ago, in 1995. At the time he had done about 10,000 RK surgeries and only about 1,200 Lasik surgeries, so I opted for RK.<br><br>My vision before he surgery was about 20/600 (legally blind) and 20/35 after the surgery. This means I don't need glasses. Today it is basically the same, and I've never had any problems.<br><br>I recall that the staff and the doctor were not especially friendly, but were very professional and seemed to know their stuff. That was more important to me.<br><br>Immediately after the surgery I recall my vision being instantly better (as soon as he made the cuts in my cornea) which was amazing! The antibiotic drops didn't work for me. He gave me another type to try, but also did not work for me. The drops made my eyes clamp up, so I didn't take them for more than 2 days, I stuck with the oral antibiotics. I never had any problems.<br><br>Over-all I recommend Dr. Ellis because I had the desired results, and 20 years later I have no complaints.

I went to Dr Ellis at the San Jose office and I thought that the staff was great and waited only a short time to see somebody. I went to the Ellis eye center at El Cerrito and went to confer with the eye surgeon before the surgery and I decided that Lasik was not right for me after talking to the surgeon. I left with no sales pressure or nothing like people are saying. I have 20/40 and probably didn't really need lasik after all. I don't understand all of the negative ads. I guess that after doing over 50,000 of these operations like Dr Ellis has done you are going to run into a few cry babies along the way

I had my LASIK surgery about a month or two ago, and let me say I wanted to punch my brother in the face for telling me "you dont feel anything at all" LOL I'm very sensitive when it comes to my eyes, and I've had my appendix removed, But this was extremely worse, I think it's just the fact of being awake while knowing there is someone messing with your eyeball, but that's just me... The staff was extremely friendly ! especially Bobbi the nurse, she made me feel so comfortable, she let me know how it would feel and what i needed to do after the surgery, she was very very nice ! after the surgery was the worse part, it felt as if there was sand paper mixed with lime juice in my eyes.. just like Bobbi had said it would feel. I went home right away took the pain and sleeping pills and knock out almost instantly, when i woke up the next day i could open my eyes, and was amazed that i could see almost perfectly !! It feels so amazing to be able to wake up and not look like Velma from Scooby Doo asking my Fiance "where are my glasses?" Lol. And Dr. Ellis was very nice with a sense of humor ! not your average doctor he made me feel welcomed, and made me feel secure enough to let him fix my eyes! Over all I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to fix their eye sight, plus I read that Dr. Ellis is EXTREMELY experienced in what he does. which is GREAT ! plus the Great price they have to offer! How can you not come here? =] Thank you Dr. Ellis and your Staff for giving me back my 20/20 eye sight !
