Overall, I am satisfied with my PRK operation. I am about one week out of postop. I still do not have 2020 vision however it improves daily. during the procedure I wish there was a little bit more communication about what was going on step-by-step because I could see things coming in my eye, but I wasnt sure what it was. I had about two days of pain after surgery however it was manageable, especially with resting my Eyes.

Had my first visit for a consultation. The testing does feel a bit lab rattish (not a lot of explaining. You dont wear a patient ID band like at many appointments but I was asked at somepoint to verify my DOB). You eventually see an optometrist (not the MD who will do the surgery itself) she gave very good explanations and answered questions. She definitely made me feel more comfortable than I think i would have without her. I am an ICU nurse and Ive taken care of some gruesome eye injuries. My mother died of eye cancer. Eyes creep me out and I feel much better. Im eager to schedule and will be sure to update of and when I have a procedure. Im not a lasik candidate and the rationale was clearly described.

Arrived for my appt at 3:10, the scheduled time. They did not call me til 3:40, when they took me into an exam room, did preliminary tests including drops to dilate. This took maybe 10 minutes. I was then told to wait in the waiting room for the Dr, who would be here shortly. 45 minutes later, I went out the reception desk and told them I was leaving. She said, please dont, the doctor will be right with you. The doctor came out less that 5 minutes after that and apologized. I told her that I might not have been as annoyed if at least someone had come out to apologize earlier, and had told me there would be a delay. The Doctor herself (Dr. Finkelstein), was excellent, I have no complains at all about her visit. But for an outfit that has been around as long as they have, they should have a better system than this.I noticed after I posted this there was an earlier review here over a year ago, by someone with a similar situation. Guess the problem still exists.

They are great inside the office. Online the patient site is a little tuff. I do recommend.
