I saw Dr. Vinny Keshav for cataract surgery post-op. From the first minute he put me at ease and created a friendly atmosphere. What to expect from such routine visit: "how are you feeling? Good? Gooood. See you in one year. Goodbye." But this visit was quite different. Doctor thoroughly examined my eyes. And what is unusual, he showed me on diagram and explained what was done and why and what to expect. The highest grade doctor. 5 stars! I highly recommend Dr. Vinny Keshav at Boston Vision.

Very caring personnel, who are considered. They try to be calming knowing that the patient is anxious

I asked about LASIK but my corneas are too thin. Of the two alternatives, ICL seemed better (faster recovery, reversible, no dryness) but my insurance would only cover PRK. It was easy to schedule a consultation and easy to schedule and reschedule the actual procedure--they are quick to respond to calls and emails. The office staff move you along quickly and efficiently. Some staff were actually very friendly but others seemed more interested in moving things along. There were also quite a lot of different steps to take and information to absorb and it all could have been better/more centrally organized and provided at the beginning. The day of the procedure is a little overwhelming with final testing, instructions, and questions. They will offer you Xanax and I recommend you take it. The procedure is fast and doesn't hurt but there is a lot of motion, sensation, and a busy room of people calling out jargon and countdowns around you. I unfortunately didn't get enough time for the Xanax to kick in for the procedure, but it did help me nap when I got home. After the procedure I experienced burning and sensitivity and I kept my sunglasses on inside with the blinds down for four days. I had to use lubricating drops for a few months. The blurriness was disorienting and it fluctuated from day to day--several weeks after surgery I was still increasing the font size on my phone for readability. But two months out my vision reached 20/15 (better than average).Overall, I highly recommend Boston Vision in Brookline.
