I got PRK on Friday. Today is Tuesday, so its been four days. My vision is still blurry as expected, but its getting better everyday. The assistants and doctor (Brenner) I interacted with were all great. The fellow has had a tired energy the two times Ive interacted with her, but I think shes doing a fine job. Its easy to reach out to them if you have a question (they give you your doctors cell as well as Dr. Melkis, though I didnt use them). Theres an online patient portal that you can use to e-mail your questions; I used this once after my evaluation to ask Dr. Brenner a question, and he responded the next day.Its not like they provide a very personal service; it feels like a place where they try to do as many procedures as they can since it brings in money, but not to the point that they will be careless with your care. I think they did a good job with my eyes; Im not fully healed, but Im healing more and progressing everyday. My PRK procedure ended up costing $4900 ($1000-off promotion for the start of the year) with an optional $495 lifetime insurance, which I was told that 70% of people opt to get. Only 3% of people need touch-ups, which is included in the initial cost.Their website has a good QA section where Dr. Melki has answered lots of questions. They also give you some reading material at your free evaluation. I appreciate that they try to educate their patients. On the day of my procedure, they gave me written instructions for my eye drops (which I couldnt read too well for two days afterward - just a heads-up to plan ahead), some ill-fitting sunglasses, and a Boston Laser t-shirt. During the procedure, I was given a choice of holding an elephant or a sloth stuffed animal (I chose both!). The procedure lasted about 12 minutes. Its not cheap, but paying a lot of money makes me feel like Im using a quality service?? Theyre also affiliated with MEEI and have fellows working there, so its in their interest to provide good service and protect their reputation. Ive had a good (albeit short) experience with them so far!Disclosure: I have an extra incentive to leave a review because when you write a review, you get entered into a drawing to win $150 toward a pair of sunglasses (which I dont have because Ive always worn eyeglasses, so I didnt really wear sunglasses over them). But that didnt affect the kind of rating/review I gave.

The staff is amazing in both locations Brookline and Wellesley Dr Brenner is an excellent Dr. He takes his time explaining what he is going to do in a friendly manner and give constructive feedback. When I reached out to scheduled an appointment, they immediately call me back with an appointment and time for my DURYSTA ocular implant which control my eye pressure. In less the 15 minutes Dr. Brenner numb my eye placed it directly in my eye with no discomfort whatsoever and I went home. He was very thorough before and after the implant. I highly recommend Boston Vision, Dr.Brenner, Dr Melki and Dr. Macie Finkelstein.

There should be a 6 star button. I went to the medford office for a consultation on monday. I was actually scheduled for surgery on that friday!!! Met with Dr Brenner on wendesday and he went over the process. Walked the door Friday morning surgery was done in 15 mins, now i can see better than i could with corrective lenses. Honestly nothing could have been better, from being able to book my own appointment online, to the ease of the staff at the clinic.I apologize to the staff in the procedure room because as soon as i opened my eyes i saw the eye chart on the ceiling, and yelled out holy sh#@ because i could see it. Thank you Boston laser i just wish i had done this 10 years ago

First, I used Qualsight like so many others and got a great deal! I initially went to Mass Eye and Ear, but Dr. Melkis extremely impressive experience and slightly lower cost won me over. This is not a bargain LASIK place, and Id be weary of any place advertised as such. Staff and facilities: Everyone at Boston Laser was so professional and friendly! There was a particular gentleman who initially did my prescription reading and then was the one narrating my surgery if you will, explaining what was going on and what I could expect. The location is perfect and the facilities are clean and welcoming. Also, they get bakery items in the morning, have coffee and cnn going. Just thoughtful and simple things to keep patients happy! Love that sort of stuff. Dr. Melki is great, as well as the other doctors and residents(?) who helped me. Super shout out to the scheduling department - I had to reschedule so many times it was obnoxious. Dr. Melki suggested I get PRK and I am so happy I listened to him. Its been 6 months and I have no halos and I see as well as I did with my contacts! To those wondering, yes it hurt afterwards but its not that bad, and I would say its worth knowing that your eyes dont have a flap. Take the pain killers and just use the weekend after to catch up on your sleep. I was in track with every normal timeline that was explained to me. I had the surgery in April and was in Mexico in May, seeing clearly and not having to worry about contact hygiene while backpacking! Also, turns out, I had been wearing the wrong prescription for years! I couldnt believe it and I had them triple check it, including me coming back on a different day for one last reading before the surgery. The competency of Boston Lasers team is very impressive. Im so happy my eyes were corrected to the right level (no more eye strain!) and I chose Dr. Melki and his team. Do not skimp on your eyes! You are in safe and experienced hands here.
