Cindi Johnson Via Healthgrades - In C. Shin, MD
It was bad enough to wait for over 2.5 hours to see Dr. Shin (after the fact that I traveled an hour to see him!) Then had to go through several different tests & sit in a small room & waited for another hour & a half BEFORE he even graced me with his appearance! He was rude & barely gave me the time of day regarding my concerns. He refused to listen regarding the medications he was trying to prescribe me. (Which I had been previously prescribed and had a SEVERE reaction to!!!)

I had the occasion to have a glaucoma test by Dr Shin which was with a hand held paortable device. It happened to be 10 points higher than a test administered to me days earlier by Dr . Izer. He wanted to prescribe medication. When I said I just had the test 4 days ago by another doctor, he got very upset and told me there is no reason for me to come back since I saw the other doctor. Apparently he doesnt like a patient getting a second opinion. He is insecure or threatened by a second opinion, especially when there is such a disparity in the result.

The wait is awfully long! Almost 3 hours! They need a better system or not schedule 6 for the same appointment time. Not excited about going back next time.

To the Blonde that was working the front desk this evening, you are very disrespectful. You stood at the end of the counter and spoke loud enough for me to hear you to tell me my kids were being to loud (I was sitting in section B, which is NOT close to the counter). I don't appreciate what you did. Our appointment was at 3:20, so we showed up at 3 so we can be one time. We didn't get to see the doctor til around 4:45. I was constantly telling my THREE year old to be quiet, sit down, stop playing. I even popped her when she was moving chairs to play. But, you can only entertain a 3 year old for so long before they want to move. It was the end of the day and hardly anyone else was in the office, and you are going to tell me that i need to keep my kids from screaming. You should have walked over to me to say something to me. AND THEN, you want to try to be nice when we leave and offer them a sticker. NO! When I pointed out that you should have walked over to me to talk to me, you said "i already talked to my supervisor about it." Well guess what, that's fine. It still doesn't make it right. All I wanted from you was an apology, but I guess you thinks its okay to speak loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear. Maybe because I am younger mother you thought you could treat me like a child, but its disrespectful.
