Had a successful SMILE surgery and couldn't be happier. Dr. Goel was incredible helpful in addressing all my concerns, and he coached me through the whole process, helping me to ease any anxiety I had during the operation. The procedure was very quick and without any pain whatsoever. Would recommend him and his great staff to anyone!

Why didn't I do this sooner?! I had the SMILE visiom correction procedure a few days ago at Dr. Goel's Columbia office. I have always thought about having vision correction surgery, but it wasn't until I had my free consultation at Goel Vision that I knew I was comfortable enough to do it. I had another consultation at a different provider prior to going into Goel Vision and quickly realized Goel Vision was the right choice for me. Everyone was so friendly, informative, and non-pushy from my first phone call, to the consultantation, and of course the surgery day. I truly felt like I was being cared for every step of the way, not just another patient being filed through their system as I had felt at the other provider. On the day of my SMILE procedure, Dr. Goel made me feel so comfortable with his calm demeanor and knowledgable answers to all of my questions and concerns. I didn't even need the valium as I was completely relaxed during the procedure and 100% trusted Dr. Goel with my vision. He coached me beforehand on how things would go, then in the laser room he talked me through everything and it was super quick and easy. He even played The Grateful Dead for me during the procedure. Excellent staff- highly efficient. Dr. Goel is not only exceptionally personable in the best of ways but also informative, reassuring, and always available. His practice is absolutely quintessential in terms of decency. Could not recommend it enough.
