I got LASIK about 7 years ago with Dr. Clavenna after being almost legally blind for 20 years and have had 20/20 vision up until I was pregnant with my first baby last year. (I think I am one of the lucky ones whose eyes get worse while pregnant). I have been going to him ever since as primary eye doctor and will trust no one else with care of my eyes!
I went to Clavenna after reading prior yelp reviews. I am relatively new to the area and after walking around not being able to see clearly for a year I decided I needed to get my eyes checked. Dr.Fitzgerald was nice, professional, and straightforward and the staff was a pleasure to work with. I have been wearing glasses my whole life, and I hate looking for glasses.I have a high prescription, currently wear a progressive, and am limited in the types of frames I can choose. Although I get the thinnest lens possible, I always had lens coming out from the frame. Nicole and Nancy in the optical dept. are fantastic! They will not let you pick out a frame that is not good for your face, but more importantly they will make sure it will work well with your prescription and sit on your face the proper way for optimal vision. I received my glasses and expected the usual, not being able to see clearly and a thick lens coming out of the frame. I was amazed to say the least! My vision was clear and crisp for the first time in over a year . They did an exquisite job on the lens and no thick lens is protruding from the sides of the frame. I cannot say enough about them and highly recommend their work. You will not be disappointed!
Getting LASIK was one of the best decision I have ever made. Anyone thinking about getting LASIK I would recommend the Clavenna Vision Institute. When dealing with your eyes, you always want the best. I researched doctors all over the state of Michigan and found that Dr. Clavenna had the best reviews, recommendations, and a long history with performing LASIK. All the reviews and recommendations were exactly right. They were professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. I would not trust my eyes with anyone else in Michigan.

I am amazed at each visit at how thorough and professional he and his medical staff treats me each time I am in for either an annual eye exam or a contact lens review. Clavenna Vision Institute has been our family optical for over 10 years and Dr. Clavenna and his staff have always done an excellent job for us.
