Had SMILE surgery recently to correct my nearsightedness in both eyes and astigmatism in my right eye. All the staff I encountered were friendly and competent. The day of surgery Dr. Goel very throughly explained the procedure. Dr. Goel and the staff also made sure to offer me medications to relax me, if needed. The surgery itself was short and simple. Plenty of numbing eyedrops were provided so at most I could only feel a slight pressure, and before you know it the surgery is finished. My vision was improved immediately. My up close vision was slightly blurry for about 2 days following the procedure (which is normal), but I was still able to close-up activities like crocheting. My eyes were not very dry following the procedure and maintaining the recommended eye drop schedule. I would definitely recommend Dr. Goel to anyone looking to have corrective eye procedures. I work in surgery as my day to day job and was quite pleased with the clinic and staff.

I had SMILE surgery at Goel Vision in Columbia a little over a month ago. The staff were friendly and attentive (a special shoutout to Patrick and Dr. Goel!). They provide a lot of information about the procedures, expectations, and things you will need. The results have been wonderful as my vision is now back to 20/20. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking to have a corrective vision procedure!
