    I had an injection on Friday, June 12 by Dr. Kirk. This injection was quite different from the previous 5 or 6 injections. Dr. Kirks schedule must have been overloaded as my appointment was at 10:15 and he appeared in a hurry and gave the injection at 11: 20. The injection seemed to go OK. however Dr. Kirk used hand sanitizer but no latex gloves. The vision was blurry for about 2 hours following the injection for the first time. My eye burned for another 2 hours. Pain appeared to originate at the injection sight and worsened by blinking or looking to the right. I took 1 Hydrocodone left from a prior surgery later in the day and 1/2 on Saturday to lesson the pain. The pain slowly decreased until gone on Sunday by noon. I had never experienced this type of pain before after an injection. The eye remained very red through Monday and produced a lot of yellow matter. Six days later some redness remains.

    My eye doctor was knowledgeable and performed many tests on my eyes. I feel confident that he is a very skilled doctor. However, I dont feel that he explained things well. His answers to my questions were short. Also, I was unclear on what he was doing to test my eyes and why. Brief explanations and clearer communication would have been helpful to me.
