I recently had an appointment with Dr. Noell Acord at Maine Eye to explore specialty contact lenses for light sensitivity, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. I suffered an eye injury at the age of 4 and have seen countless eye doctors over the past 36 yearsDr. Acord stands out as one of the very best.She was incredibly patient, kind, honest, and knowledgeable. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely at ease. She took the time to explain all of my options in detail, carefully measured my eyes, and even allowed me to test a lens outdoors, knowing that sunlight is my biggest challenge.What truly stood out was her dedicationwhen it seemed like a specialty lens might not be the right fit for me, she went above and beyond by coming down three flights of stairs after my appointment to give me one more potential option to consider. That level of care and commitment is rare and deeply appreciated.Her assistant, Shawn, was equally wonderful. He made me feel welcome and comfortable right away. Im usually a fairly passive patient, but he gave me the space and encouragement to share my long and complex eye history without hesitation.Thank you, Dr. Acord and Shawn, for making me feel seen, safe, and supported. It was truly an exceptional experience.

Excellent staff, very through and helpful! The phone access to the office is a nightmare, called numerous times and always got put on hold, very frustrating! About 90% of all my calls I never got through to a representative!
