I was referred to this place after going to Urgent Care for an eye issue. The support staff was nice but I never received new patient paperwork until after the nurse(?) had dilated my eyes. Fortunately I had someone with me to help fill them out. Apparently the doctor doesn't believe in HIPAA as he didn't close the door when he entered the exam room and proceeded to talk about my case at full volume. If there had been patients in the waiting room, they would have heard why I was there. He spent all of 30 seconds with me.

Maine eye care gave me an incorrect subscription for eyeglasses and will not correct or retest me for a different prescription. I have called numerous times with no call back. They literally ripped me off for 700$. Do not go here, they do not care about your health or vision. All they care about is the short term gain and do not care if you never come back. This is scary thinking I was going to have them do lasik surgery on me, if I were to go blind by their mistake they probably wouldn't care at all as long as they got paid. You people should be ashamed of yourselves and your terrible treatment of good people. Hope this helps at least 1 person stay clear of your business

My gratitude for Dr Moore and the staff at Maine Eye is immense! I came to Maine on our annual vacation with a referral from Bascom Palmer to have a detached retina checked after surgery. Upon checking the repaired detachment, he discovered another. I was in surgery within 36 hours and he preformed a victromey surgery to save my sight. He and his staff were kind, caring and informative. Never did I wonder what was happening or about to occur. I feel so blessed to be referred to Maine Eye and Dr. Moore. A million thank yous!!

Two plus years into the pandemic. The errors in scheduling and over scheduling, combined with rude staff have this caretaker wishing there was an alternate choice. Thats just it, the need for the service is greater then providers available.Stop over scheduling. I see the EOBs and what you are being paid per injection. Patient care matters.
