My 3 yr old autistic had her 1st visit today. After making us wait around 2.5hrs and giving the kid drops, this doctor had the NERVE to say "i hope her autisim improves for future visits because otherwise i will have to sedate her in future visits." Autisim is a GENETIC variant, one i and her brother also have, and can not be "improved". This smacks as discrimination as a mindset and we will be getting a 2nd opinion. How can a medical professional be so ignorant in their comments?? The other staff were lovely and helpful. Only the doctor was an issue.

Technical difficulties happen, but rudeness to someone asking for help is a bad sign. Every time I called the operator transferred me to a full mailbox and then I got disconnected. Id call back, explain the situation, be assured they would get me to an appointment person, and then get transferred to a full mailbox message and then get disconnected. On the fifth call back the operator got angry at me at me and told me I was wrong and that she could see the lines were clear...she then transferred me to a full mailbox that disconnected. From reading other reviews, it sounds like this dismissive and rude culture goes beyond folks answering the phones. Not the place for me.

Relatively quick appt., but I still don't have all the information I need in order to buy glasses online for my daughter. Now I have to go to lenscrafters or another store in order to buy glasses. I was given just basic distance measurements in the prescription. I can't use this prescription to order glasses online. What was the point?

After recently having cataract surgery with Dr. Libby, I went back to Dr. Walter for a prescription for glasses - for reading, for computer work and for distance to improve the 20/25 vision that was all Dr. Libby was able to get with the surgery in my right eye. Dr. Walters examined me and, although I told him repeatedly during the examination of BOTH eyes that I was seeing double, he gave me a prescription that did not include measurements for prisms - the primary correction for double vision. I called 3 days ago and asked for a correction to my prescription and an appointment for him to take prism measurements as the nurse could find nothing in my records indicating that he measured for prisms. II CAN'T READ ANY BOOKS and I have had to enlarge the text on my computer to 175% in order to read online. Everything is still blurred together (left eye) or one line with a "ghost line" on top of it (right eye). I was told that Dr. Walters has been given my message but has not responded. If I don't get a reply by Monday, I will go to another optometrist/practice and get a prescription with prism adjustments and deduct the cost from what I owe this practice. I would not recommend them, based on my experience. BTW- Dr. Walters told me that my eye is forming scar tissue around or behind the capsule that holds the newly installed lens and that I will now need laser surgery that Dr. Libby's office told me will cost me as much as the cataract surgery cost me. I know Dr. Libby does a lot of laser surgery but, at NO time was I told or warned that I might have to have laser surgery AFTER the cataract surgery. Even if this kind of trauma and scarring only occurs in a small percentage of patients, I should have been warned. He will NOT be doing any more surgery on me!! If I don't hear back from Dr. Walters with an immediate appointment for a COMPLETE PRESCRIPTION by Monday, I will go to another optometry practice and get a corrected prescription.

Had an eye issue in October, and Urgent Care referred me to the eye center. First available appointment was in late January (I was later told that three months was an average delay).Condition had resolved long before then, fortunately, but kept the appointment anyway in the event that it recurred. Had a 2:20 appointment, finally saw the doctor at 3:20.The physician I saw was professional, competent and knowledgeable, but also rushed. Had multiple options thrown at me quickly, with no time to process and proceed.Overall, the Eye Center seems to be something of a factory. The medical staff seems high quality, but the experience from a patient's perspective leaves much to be desired.
