Felt like I was a subassembly on a conveyor belt having pieces added along the way.

Update 5/20/19: After 3 months of pursuing our grievance (below), the invoice was withdrawn. It was difficult to get to the right person, but in the end the company did the right thing. My husband went here in January to diagnose and treat a significant change of vision. He suddenly can't read and has a half field of badly blurred vision in one eye. They had him see an optometrist, not an ophthalmologist. She could not diagnose the problem, claiming it was "floaters" and would settle down over time. She did not arrange any consult with an ophthalmologist. The office refused his request to schedule a follow-up with a neuro-ophthalmologist. He has signed three releases of medical records in the past two weeks. In more than a week, neither the neuro-ophthalmologist nor his ophthalmologist in Ohio has received them. We still can't schedule the follow-up appointment. We call every day.POOR SERVICE and POOR patient care. This place is no more than a business PUSHING high-price elective and cataract surgeries. Don't go to them for an actual vision problem.PS - Now we are in April. We found our own neuro-ophthalmologist in Sarasota, NO THANKS to Frantz Eye Care. My husband had an optic nerve stroke that the optometrist at Frantz had no chance of diagnosing and no interest in referring to a more qualified doctor. His doctors have now ordered a VERY expensive medication, a full vascular workup, a TEE scan (scope with a camera down his throat) and a brain MRI.The optometrist at Frantz said it was a field of floaters and it would go away. Her attitude suggested my husband was just being a hypochondriac. We just got the bill from Frantz for her "exam", which is offered free of charge at America's Best. $185, which is his full Medicare deductible. Who knows how much more Medicare actually paid them.By the way, contrary to the response a month ago to the original post, NO ONE has contacted us regarding the review. When we called this morning, no one in authority was available to handle the call.

Here is an addendum to our review. After writing this review we were contacted by the CEO of Frantz Eye Care who asked what happened. We explained the situation and he asked to review the circumstances and get to us by the end of the day, which he did. The CEO JD, offered to refund us the cost of the glasses and the last dr. visit. We accepted this and we have since gotten a check from them for the monies that were incurred. We appreciate the fact that they were doing Do diligence and fixed the situation. We wish now that we had had recourse at the time of the incident and all of this could have been avoided. Thank you Frantz Eye Care for making things right.

Here is the original review that Yelp wanted down. It was written by my husband and I posted it for him. In the meantime I have spoken with Frantz EyeCare and we are working it out and I have told them he would update this review at the end of the week as long as they follow through on their promise.
Stay away, Stay away, stay away. I don't know how else to say this. I have been wearing glasses since 18 months old and am now 71, I went to Franz because they were supposed to be "great". I am are sorry we went. They missed the mark totally. They prescribed me with a new RX for glasses, I've complained to them for the last 2 years and that I'm still not able to see and their response is this is the best you're going to get. Finally, went to another Eye doctor who said that the reason I can't see is that I have the wrong RX. I'm far sighted and they gave me glasses for near sighted. REALLY!!! I've spent thousands of dollars and the mistake is that they gave the wrong RX? I got new glasses today and guess what I can see!! Not only can I see but I see better now than I'v seen in the last 10 years. STAY AWAY from Franz.

I had my right eye done 1/8/18 no problem. 4 days later I had my left eye done. While I was being wheeled into the surgery, I told the gentleman I probably needed more seditative. In the middle of my surgery I yelled, your killing me, it hurts. I was yelled at by someone behind me, (I don't know if it was Dr Frantz,) don't move!!! I had to move the pain was so bad. My eye was scratched and I couldn't open it for 4 days...It felt like gravel was in my eye. By the 4 day it got a little better.
