I went in trying to find out if my insurance was accepted. Ive been a 10 year plus patient at the Kingston office and suddenly in Dec, 2023 they informed my insurance was no longer good. The receptionist in Nanticoke got on the phone with my insurance agent and tried to hash things out to no avail. The ophthalmologist on duty then suggested the charge be run through as medical necessity rather than routine eye exam. That way Id be covered. They had an opening for that day, which I gladly accepted. As I have retina issues it really wasnt just a routine eye exam. The difference between this office and the Rutter Ave office is the employees at this office really tried to handle my issue, knowing how serious it is. Rutter Ave is too much the assembly line with way too many self important employees wandering around doing nothing. This situation could have been resolved in December if the supervisor had tried to find a way to get me treated as opposed to just regurgitating what was on her computer screen. Am very pleased with my appointment at Eyecare Specialists Nanticoke.

I saw Dr. Lutz in Berwick, and I also saw Dr. Rob in Nanticoke. Let me tell you both of these doctors are amazing. Dr. Lutz is a genius equally as Dr. Rob from Nanticoke. I feel very secure in the treatment and what is going on with my glaucoma.

Dr Gilbert was fantastic. When we heard that Dr Toole was retiring my son was very upset because she was the only one who listened to him. He is now 11 and was seeing Dr Toole since he was 3. Dr Gilbert was wonderful with him. She listened to what he had to say which put him at ease. She also told him that she talked to Dr Toole about his care and that everything would be fine. Thank you to Dr Toole for the 8 years of care and a special thanks to Dr Gilbert for making us feel so comfortable with her.
