Dr. Shiple's practice was recommended to me by my Optometrist, Dora Sudarsky, DO, of Shelburne Road, South Burlington,VT. I am very pleased with the entire practice of Opthalmic Consultants of Vermont. Dr. Shiple is delightful to interact with, as he has a relaxed, yet professional demeanor. He asks continually if you are comfortable, and if you have any questions to each medical statement he makes. I had one cataract removal surgery last year and could hardly wait for my second eye to be "ready" for its cataract removal, now coming-up soon. I spoke so highly of the Practice, Dr.Shiple specifically, and Dr. Spitelli, an Opthalmic Surgeon and anesthesiologist that my husband has had his cataract surgery with the same practice. Entire staff is professional, kind and respectful. I highly recommend!

My visit with Dr. McCormick was very professional and very satisfactory. He was very thorough and did an excellent job of removing my cataracts. He did a great job making me feel comfortable about what was to happen.

Dr McCormick performed cataract surgery on my right eye. He diagnosed the condition, performed the surgery, and provided after care. Dr McCormick provided all the appropriate professional advice, but let me make the decisions. He took the time to understand my individual wants and needs, and explained the risk, benefit trade offs. His staff both in the office and the surgical center were knowledgeable, efficient and caring. Dr McCormick performs the most cataract surgeries of any surgeon in Vermont, and his results show it. My treatment went exactly as planned, and I ended up with 20/20 vision with no discomfort during and after surgery. The improvement in vision clarity and reduction of glare was dramatic. His use of an outpatient surgical facility made the logistics more convenient and reduced the costs significantly compared to a bill from the hospital. Overall a pleasant experience. I couldn't speak more highly of Dr McCormick.
