I can't say enough good things about everyone at Vermont laser vision! They answered all of my questions and handled everything with professionalism and care. I am about 2 months post surgery and my vision is 20/15 and my eyes are healing perfectly! I'm so happy that I chose this team and got this done. Couldn't be happier!

I was recommended to this office by my eye doctor. As stated in one of the other reviews on this site, the office is impressive. Free snacks and drinks, lovely photos of Vermont on the walls. I was unfortunately late due to roadwork, but I had called ahead twice to let them know. The main waiting room was oddly empty. After filling out my paperwork, I sat there for about ten minutes and noticed one other patient who was taken in to an exam room and another patient who was checking out. I was then alone in the main waiting room. After my wait, I was seen by a young man in scrubs in one of the exam rooms. He performed a brief exam and asked questions about my health. He seemed to be in a hurry, but since the waiting room and hallway were nearly empty of patients I could not figure out why. He then escorted me to another smaller waiting room down the hallway. This is when the visit really went downhill for me. I was again alone and this time for at least 25 minutes. The young man in scrubs gave me no explanation-just escorted me to the room and left. No one else talked to me or checked in on me. No one even said " The doctor is with a patient now and will see you soon, " which is common courtesy in medical offices. I worked at UVMMC for years, so I know how these situations should be handled. The young man in scrubs came and escorted me to an exam room. It was dark and empty. Once again no explanation for the delay was given. Where was the doctor? I waited and waited some more... Probably another 25 minutes. By then I was getting angry and impatient. If the place had been busy with patients and some consideration had been given me, I might have been more understanding, but I felt that I had been forgotten by the staff. I picked up my bag and walked down the hall to the exit into the main waiting room and near that door I found a man in scrubs with his back to me, talking to a woman in scrubs. They could have asked me if I was okay or if I needed help, but they did not. I walked out to the reception area and complained to a young woman behind the plexiglass who had spoken to me when I arrived. Why the long wait without explanation or apology? What was going on? There were two women behind the desk. The other woman told me I could not leave unless I was checked by the techs. I said I had not had my pupils dilated and that I WAS leaving. This really annoyed me more. Why couldn't she apologize? She was abrupt and rude. "You need to be checked by the techs! You can't leave without being checked by the techs!". But I walked out anyway. Never saw a doctor, never was given an explanation or apology. I had waited more than an hour for no particular reason that I could see and never saw the doctor. This was some of the worst customer service in a medical office that I have ever experienced. I worked at UVMMC for twenty years. If I had treated a patient like they all treated me at OCV, I would not have been employed at UVMMC for long. A truly bizarre experience and a waste of time and money.

Vermont Laser Vision did a fantastic job with my LASIK surgery. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and professional in guiding me through the procedure. Everything went smoothly and my eyes are better than ever. Dr. Mccormack and Ashley were very helpful in their expertise.
