I always had what I referred to as an "irrational fear of eyeball penetration" and my doctor, Dr. Vij, assured me I was not irrational nor was I alone and I had plenty of company. And then he set me at ease about everything having to do with my cataract surgeries and I was no longer terrified.The office staff were caring, listened to everything I asked and answered with patience and also set me completely at ease. They had me watch a video and asked if I had any questions.The time the office staff and the doctor took with me wiped away many fears and I left with two surgery appointments set to go for cataract removal.The days of the appointments just a month apart arrived at the Eye Center of Columbus and I was treated with so much respect and listened to pre and post surgery by all the players, especially my doctor. My follow up visits were as successful as the surgeries and I am no longer fearful of eye surgeries. Dr. Vij and Mid Ohio Eye are the best place in Columbus to be for eye concerns of all kinds. Great practice.

My experience with Dr. Rohin Vij was a true 10/10 experience! As a small shout out to Mid Ohio Eye, I was able to make a same-day appointment due to a concern over a possible eye injury. I initially felt a little silly over my concern and how my possible eye injury had occurred. However, Dr. Vij took me seriously and created the time and space to let me express my thoughts and concerns, and I felt like he genuinely listened to me. His bedside manners were superb! He looked me in the eyes, was not rushing, was not preoccupied with anything else, and was gentle. Furthermore, he explained in a thorough manner what he examined, what his findings were, and what I could expect moving forward. I really appreciated the time he took to explain this information to me because, not being familiar myself with the ins and outs of eye health, I would not have know to even think about some of the points he made. Being a healthcare professional myself, I know the time and energy required to be thorough and genuine, especially when management can sometimes put pressure on its employees for the bottom line profit, so I cannot express again how appreciative I am of Dr. Vij and his commitment to patient care! Mid Ohio Eye is very lucky to have him!
