I went into Heaton Eye in Longview to consult about having LASIK eye surgery. I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Joel T. Muirhead as my doctor. He spent time listening to me about my needs and wants (also my apprehension). As a result he gave me options and choices and laid it all out honestly to include the risks, benefits, and costs. He is a very knowledgeable man that cares. I never feel rushed in their office. The office is well run, organized and very clean. This practice has been designed to offer quality care and to run efficiently. The staff anticipates your needs. They are prepared and polite.My surgery was done in Tyler. The staff at that location has the same approach to customer service. The communication is outstanding and the nursing staff that took care of me before and after were informative and gentle. Dr. Steele was my anesthesiologist and he has a wonderful bedside manner--very calming and humorous. They have Christian music playing in the pro-op area and that was just what I needed to focus on before surgery! Bless them for practicing their faith and addressing all of their patients needs: physical, psychological, financial, and spiritual.
