I was terrified of laser eye surgery, but it was something I really wanted. Dr. Cunningham and his staff were amazing. They go above and beyond to help you feel relaxed. The entire process from consultation to follow up visits is a well oiled machine. He talks you through the surgery and tells you what hes about to do and what sensation to expect before he does it. The staff are so helpful and professional. Best of all, I now have 20/20 vision without contacts!!! I had a fantastic experience and will recommend them over and over again. (My surgery was in July 2018.)

Dr. Billingsley is terrific! Unfortunately the horribly poor and nonchalant attitudes of her staff have made us look elsewhere for our eyecare. I sincerely hope Dr. Billingsley will make changes to her argumentative staff before they put her out of business.

I have mixed emotions about this review because almost everyone there was nice to me. But I have to rate on the results of my last cataract surgery, which I am miserable with!

Most of my life, I've been nearsighted. I could see great except for long distance and I've only worn glasses for driving. When I said I preferred being nearsighted to farsighted, I certainly didn't mean that I only wanted to see clearly 12" from my face! Beyond 12" everything is a blur!

I'm so miserable with this eye that I decided to inquire about the cost of PRK laser correction. So I went on their web site and submitted an inquiry - expecting to get a written answer. I never did get a response from the web site, but received a phone call a few days later. If I had wanted a quote on the phone, I would have called in the first place!

The girl immediately started trying to make me an appointment. I said, "NO, I'm just trying to find out how much PRK laser correction would cost"! She put me on hold and left to find out. When she came back to the phone, she said "HE said it would be $1,000". I just assumed that "HE" was the doctor that had done the surgery. So I agreed to the amount I was quoted of $1,000 and made an appointment for pre-op.

I was put through all the testing again, and not one word was mentioned about the cost of the procedure until it was time to schedule the surgery. So I was under the assumption the entire time that it was going to be the price I was quoted on the phone. Then at the end of everything, I was shocked when I was told what it was really going to cost! It was double what I was told on the phone! Living on a tiny social security check, there's no way I could pay that amount for the correction. So I'm stuck with an eye that I can't see past 12" from my face!

All the stress and waste of time could have been prevented if two things had been done differently:

1. When I inquired in writing about the cost of the correction, I should have received an answer in writing! Then I would have PROOF of the amount I was quoted!
2. The cost of the procedure should have been discussed FIRST at the pre-op appointment BEFORE anything else was done!

I deeply regret ever letting them do cataract surgery on my 2nd eye. It's very uncomfortable and has pain as well as not being able to see, and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it! On this particular eye, I'm worse off than before the surgery!

Very disappointed in the Fountain City branch. My contact lenses Rx was missing info. I paid a pretty price for this piece of paper, which is ridiculous anyway. Does a medical doctor charge extra for antibiotic Rx? When I called I was given incorrect info by someone untrained in contacts. She was argumentative and was literally reading from the Rx I had in my hand, which was incomplete! I dug out the old lens box I had and found the correct info myself of the package. If I have to buy the prescription at least get it right. My business goes back to the Farragut office next year. Shouldn't have let them talk me into switching to Fountain City in the first place. Good luck to them with staff like that!
