Ive been a patient of Dr Nix for 9.5 years and Dr Mayfield (Main Office) for 9. Never have to wait long to be called back. All stations of examination are quick, knowledgeable and pleasant. Im so glad my daughter recommended West Ga. Eye Care when I relocated here. Dr Nix discovered a retina problem,I did not know existed. The problem could very likely have caused blindness in that eye. Dr Mayfield helped get the situation under control and turned around, removing the threat. Last year Dr Nix did cataract surgery and that same eye, after surgery went from initial vision of 20/20 to 20/40 in weeks. Again I was sent to Dr Mayfield and after 9 months of treatment the inflammation in the eye finally acquiesced and sight improved to 20/25 no correction needed except for close up vision in both eyes. Im a devote patient for West Ga. Eye Care and thankful for my sight they helped me keep.

Two separate cataract surgeries with Dr Geringer were awesomely successful. The follow up checking over several weeks was a necessary step to make sure everything stayed perfect., But my final visit was disappointing. I am a disabled person in a wheelchair. It had been difficult for me to arrange transportation and to have someone help me at the many appointments. The doctor that provided the followup care refused to give me a prescription for the glasses I needed for reading. He told me to go back to the optometrist I had seen 3 years before, to get a prescription. I was already there and now I had to find someone to haul me and my wheelchair to another future appointment with someone I have no ongoing relationship with. He couldnt be bothered to take the extra time at the end to make sure I could read my phone or anything else up close. I felt like I had gotten the bums rush!.
