I've been going to see Dr. Flowers since he came to Fort Worth. I've experienced none of the traits listed in the previous review. I've had glaucoma for ovewr 20 years and I can see as well today as I could when first diagnosed. I have and will recommend Dr. Flowers to anyone who needs eye care.

A most satisfying outcome -I had surgery some 16 months ago with Dr. Hendricks to fix a relatively early onset of cataracts (age 63). After recommendation by Dr. Hendricks, hours of research, and discussions with family and co-workers who had selected other options, I chose the Tecnis Multifocal lens. The lens implanted in my right eye gave me good, but not perfect results. After retesting, discussions and a judgment call to adjust the computer specified lens, my left eye gave close to 20:20 results. Together they give me about 18 inches of (nearly) crisp near-vision whereby I can read books and use a computer comfortably; that full range is focused and clear. Far vision is great also, with my left eye carrying much of the load. In making the Tecnis choice, I read that intermediate distance vision comes over time as the brain learns to interpolate between the near and far fixed focal lengths built into the lens. I confirm that it does happen and refer to it as the new normal. But its something that took 4-6 months to develop. And after an initial struggle with nighttime artifacts (primarily halos and points of glare) when driving or around points of light, those artifacts also became the new normal. They are all but invisible to me and unobtrusive. Lastly, my ability to read in dim light improved over time as well. Its a wonderful thing what the brain does when coupled with good technology. Just had my 16 month check up everything is spot on. I give Dr. Hendricks, my professional treatment, my lens selection and the overall outcome a big thumbs up. Highly recommended.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes and replaced with Toric lenes. The result is excelent. It looks like I will not require lasses at all after wearing them for 35 years. The efficiency of the surgery and follow-up is very professional. My only caution is to get a clear understanding of the three different eye drops that are required for the surgery. Each one has a unique application schedule and instructions from the doctor's office did not exactly match the instructions on the bottles.
