They are worse than disorganized. They gave me the wrong appointment time. They required all my insurance information up front which was more than a week in advance. Then they said there was a problem with the insurance and "we even called them". But did they call me? NO. I just showed up and there is a problem. You were already on the phone calling them, so why not call me too? They asked all sorts of information with no privacy (HIPAA?).Avoid them. From the look of who was in the lobby, they are just cashing in on the elderly (thank you government programs!)

Finally walked out. The first two times I had exams, I waited at least 40-60 minutes for my name to be called. When I arrived today, everyone in the waiting room was told "we're running a little behind today". After one hour, I decided I had had enough. This continuing practice is incredibly rude, disrespectful, and controllable. If you value professionalism, avoid Mid Ohio Eye at all costs.

I have several family members who visit this office, and every one of them, every appointment takes hours. I currently have been in the waiting room 45 minutes, and I know from experience that once we get in a room we will wait that long or more. Once it was because they were learning an electronic record system. Once because someone was out ill. Always a reason. If you really like them, endure the wait. If you just need a routine eye exam, find someone more efficient.

I've had an incredibly, almost unbelievable NEGATIVE experience here on March 27, 2014; huge understatement! To start at the end, I was given the drops that dilated my pupils for my exam with Dr San Filipo, if she can even call herself a professional, let alone a member of the medical ophthalmology community, and after waiting for her for exactly 1 hour, and being in the office for 2 hours, she refused to give me my exam. Yes, for real!I believe this started with their office staff, when I was asked repeatedly about my insurance (Medicaid). I had verified earlier that the office takes my provider, CareSource, as I've been a patient here, on and off, for over 20 years, and I wanted to return to this office.I've actually seen this same doc before! - - -of course, she evidently didn't even remember me.I had questioned the reception/billing person, when she asked me about my insurance for like the 10th time, and after telling her to go ahead and make me a self-pay since there was a problem, letting her know that I didn't appreciate her continuous questioning, for the same information I had already given. She brought the office manager into the conversation, who readily told her that my visit was not a problem, and that there was at least 2 answers to the problem; make me a self-pay for that day, or that I could call my number in when I received my insurance card.I now believe that the doctor was in cahoots with this office staff, and took this out on me, maybe 1) because I now have Medicaid, and 2) because I had the audacity to confront this office person (who had been at least rude to me).It got worse, as she proceeded to tell her fellow office co-workers about me; pointing me out in the lobby area, and completely violating my HIPAA rights. The doctor actually lied to the office manager, telling her the reason she refused to see me was because I said I was going to sue her. After a brief, antagonistic conversation when she entered the room, after my waiting for 2 hours!, I expressed my discontent and concern. That is when she told me she would not see me, yes, after having drops in my eyes for an hour. I was in the process of telling her about the situation up front, thinking she would want to know and because she asked how I was, when she cut me off, saying she knew full well of the situation. I then questioned why I had waited for over 2 hours, 1 hour in the lobby, and the other in the exam room, when she said, "you know what...I am not going to give you an exam today."This is when I told her there would be legal ramifications. She demanded that I leave and I asked the office manager to escort me through the back, as at that point, I really didn't trust myself to see this staff and be cordial (to say the least).
