    With all the rush of Christmas shopping and crazy traffic, it was pleasant relief today when we went to Mann Eye Center in Katy to find a new pair of glasses for me. We were greeted very kindly by Josie at the Frames section. She was great. We told her what I was looking for and she pulled a selection off the racks and some from the back. In 20 minutes we had narrowed the selection down to two frames.After selecting one frame. Josie walked us through the lenses selection. She even drew out the differences in progressive lenses. I definitely learned something new today.Overall, we were in and out of the center within an hour and back into the crazy Christmas rush.

    I was reluctant to fill my new prescription for progressive lenses. After procrastinating for several months, I decided to fill it and at least try them out. Josie, the young lady who helped me, was amazing. She did not only help me select a frame that works well with progressives, but also calmed my anxiety, by giving me helpful tips for getting my eyes adjusted to progressives. My anxiety is now gone, and I am so looking forward to trying my new glasses at the start of the new year.
