Its been about 6 months since my LASIK procedure with Mann Eye, and I have to say I am very happy with the results. Its so simple and straight forward its hard to believe more people dont do the procedure. brbrThe facility they run in the museum district is run very well. Everyone seems to be on top of their game, and everything is very efficient. I cant stress how much I appreciate that.brbrNow. I feel like theres a disclaimer thats needed for those seeking this procedure, but you wont really hear from any source. (I didnt) During the actual procedure you are of course awake, but they dont tell you whats going on at all. Its just lie down then they (the staff) all start talking amongst themselves as though you are catatonic. You look at something; then theres a suction cup being attached to your eye and a burning smell (no pain, but WTF). Then, turns out youre not done yet so theres another super disco-y light you look at when the surgeon presumably sticks a tool in recently burned eye and...bryou go blind.brbrYes. You go blind. Its like 15 seconds total, if that. But the fact that no one warned me it was coming freaked me the frack out. It was like... ok, i can do this, i can do this, no big deal, OMG YOU MESSED UP?brbrTurns out everything is fine. Now you know what youre getting into.brbrOh, and I dont know if its possible, but if you already have a dry-ish eye beforehand request to get your dry eye drop prescription immediately after surgery so you can start pronto. The free eye drops they give you dont do anything.

I went from a -11 to 20/20 in one afternoon. Dr Green, you are amazing! The staff is extremely thorough in pre-op procedure; they made sure I got all the information and what to expect during and after. These are also the nicest and caring people in the world. I was given follow calls on a regular basis the first few days just to make sure I am doing OK, and I am! Great work Guys and Gals!

After almost ten years using contact lenses, last year I suddenly became allergic to them. I tried many optometrists until I found doctor Mann. Their customer service is very impressive. Their staff really take care of you.brThey treated my eye allergies. My eyes never felt better.brI had my LASIK with Dr. Mann last summer. brI even took my sister to get her LASIK with doctor Mann as well.brMann Eye Institute exemplifies the best qualities of patient care.

I recently had IntraLASIK surgery through Eye Excellence, and I highly recommend them. I went in for my consultation in mid-December, and after I found out that I qualified, I was able to schedule an appointment for the end of January. They do all of their LASIK procedures on one or two Fridays each month, so your choice of days is a little bit limited. Other than that, everything went very smoothly. They explained the entire process up front in and provided as much detail as I wanted. They also answered all of my questions, and followed up the week before my procedure to remind me to get my prescription eye drops and use them the day before. The whole process the day of the surgery lasted about two hours, and it was completely painless. I havent had any problems since the surgery, and I can see perfectly! The only thing I wish they could have done differently is give me a copy of the images from my eye scans like they do at MRI clinics. For some reason they wouldnt do it. They also have two different waiting areas, and it gets a little confusing in there when they are crowded. I had to wait an extra 15 or 20 minutes during one of my follow-up appointments, but all of my other appointments went well, I cant really complain.Overall, I definitely recommend Eye Excellence to anyone looking to get LASIK surgery. They took great care of me.

Corrective lenses have been a part of my life since age 12, when the requisite taunts of FOUR EYES! and WINDOW FACE! were thrown in my face. Things improved slightly in high school with contact lenses, though I resigned myself to itchy, scratchy mornings.brbrWell, now that I have a job, I jumped all over their Groupon and took the plunge. After reading through their informed consent (blah blah blah possible blindness blah blah blah), got some numbing drops and tried to keep my eyes as still as I could as the laser did its thing. The smell of burnt flesh was a bit disconcerting but experienced no pain whatsoever, just a bit of pressure for a few seconds and bright red lights. I believe it was Dr. Stern who did the procedure. brbrHad really dry eyes for the first few days, and saw halos at night for a few weeks, but everything seems to have stabilized. Just a great feeling! It cut the time it takes to get ready in the morning from 5 min......to 3 min. No complications whatsoever, though I was told I had really thick corneas. Thats What She Said, she being the treatment coordinator. brbrTop notch customer service here as well as the latest technology.
