The doctors are Eye Excellence in Houston are absolutely amazing. Dr Green is amongst the most caring and professional doctors Ive ever met. She treats every patient with the utmost professionalism, with a down home feel. The staff always smile and I really enjoy their waiting room. Although they dont keep patients waiting long, its beautiful!

I had an appointment with Dr. Mathew at Eye Excellence at 2:30pm. I arrived to the very beautiful office at my appointed time and was taken back to begin the exam after only being at the office for 10 minutes. Dr. Mathew was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. He spent as much time with me as I needed. All of the staff were great, as well! This will be my permanent eye care home!!

Its been about 6 months since my LASIK procedure with Mann Eye, and I have to say I am very happy with the results. Its so simple and straight forward its hard to believe more people dont do the procedure. brbrThe facility they run in the museum district is run very well. Everyone seems to be on top of their game, and everything is very efficient. I cant stress how much I appreciate that.brbrNow. I feel like theres a disclaimer thats needed for those seeking this procedure, but you wont really hear from any source. (I didnt) During the actual procedure you are of course awake, but they dont tell you whats going on at all. Its just lie down then they (the staff) all start talking amongst themselves as though you are catatonic. You look at something; then theres a suction cup being attached to your eye and a burning smell (no pain, but WTF). Then, turns out youre not done yet so theres another super disco-y light you look at when the surgeon presumably sticks a tool in recently burned eye and...bryou go blind.brbrYes. You go blind. Its like 15 seconds total, if that. But the fact that no one warned me it was coming freaked me the frack out. It was like... ok, i can do this, i can do this, no big deal, OMG YOU MESSED UP?brbrTurns out everything is fine. Now you know what youre getting into.brbrOh, and I dont know if its possible, but if you already have a dry-ish eye beforehand request to get your dry eye drop prescription immediately after surgery so you can start pronto. The free eye drops they give you dont do anything.
