Dr. Goel and his team were great. Courtney (at the Towson office)was very respectful and helpful in answering all my questions and getting things scheduled.The team in Columbia were amazing the day of surgery. Follow up was a breeze.One receptionist on the phone was difficult to coordinate things with but once I got a hold of Courtney everything was wonderful.Im so glad I went with Dr. Goel and wish I had done this sooner.

Dr. Goel himself is a 5 star doctor. I consulted him for laser eye correction. While he had an initial recommendation (PRK), when explaining to him my priorities he did the work to see if SMILE would work for me. While my vision was not necessarily as good as it couldve been with PRK, the recovery was worth it to me. The surgery itself was very easy and Dr. Goel was very thorough in making sure I had expectations cleared up and in following up. I see pretty well, outside low light conditions where theres low contrast and bright lights give off starbursts (I had these before correction). The starbursts are slowly getting better a couple months out.I only dock 1 star because the out-of-office interactions were inconsistent - sometimes Id be asked to take calls that wouldnt come, office personnel would need to be reminded of calls/appointments, scheduling wasnt clear or communicated across office personnel, and it wasnt always clear what appointments or calls were for. For someone living over an hour away, it was important to know if I should go into the office. I think some calls couldve been emails - which I selected as my preferred contact method. That wouldve been nice, as calling and missing calls back and forth was awkward.Id fully recommend getting surgery here though.
