Yesterday Dr Sollenberberger performed the cataract surgery on my right eye. He did my left eye three weeks ago.I have been a patient of an excellent optometrist, Dr. Michael Allee ,for almost 30 years. He knows that, when it comes to my eyes, I am picky. Arent we all?So when Dr Allee referred me to Dr.Sollenburger, I had complete trust in both of them.What I didnt expect is that each of these doctors has the confidence and humility to work as a team. They communicated with one another and with me so that my treatment plan would meet my unique needs.In addition, the surgery team were equally as patient-focused and efficient.It is scary to submit to eye surgery. It makes perfect sense to want everyone to focus on our physical and emotional needs. This team does just that.For any who are hesitating to get recommended surgery, I encourage you to make an appointment ASAP. Beginning with the thorough assessment and continuing through Dr Sollenbergers follow-up phone call the evening after surgery, you will be safe and well cared for.

I was so sorry to learn of Dr. Cunninghams retirement. He did such a good job on my cataract operations. And he proactively saved my sight with eye drops. He deserves a wonderful retirement. Thank you so much!

I am an RN and first trained and worked with Dr. J. Ed Campbell and then he became my ophthalmologist. After his retirement, I saw his son Dr. Phillip Campbell. They were very good to me. Most recently, I have been the patient of Dr. Eric Sollenberger (grandson and nephew of the Dr's Campbell). He has performed bilateral cataract surgery on me this past December. My case is a little complicated because I have severe Meniere's Disease with constant severe rotational vertigo and Vestibular Migraines with dizziness and nausea. I could not have asked for better treatment by Dr. Sollenberger and the entire staff. They took my chronic illness into account making my surgery as comfortable as possible and my post-op treatment has been just as exceptional. I cannot recommend them highly enough for all your ophthalmologic needs! Dr. J. Ed (as he was known at Fort Sanders) set a high standard and his son and grandson have exceeded those expectations. He would be proud. A special thank you to Dr. Sollenberger for understanding my medical issues and making me as comfortable as possible!
